Dive Brief:
- Insulet named two executives to its C-suite on Monday. The company promoted Eric Benjamin, former chief product and customer experience officer, to the role of chief operating officer, effective immediately.
- The diabetes tech firm also hired Manoj Raghunandanan to the position of chief growth officer, leading Insulet’s new growth organization.
- The appointments are some of CEO Ashley McEvoy’s first changes since she was hired in April.
Dive Insight:
Benjamin has worked for Insulet since 2015, helping launch its Omnipod Dash and Omnipod 5 insulin pumps, strengthening the company’s supply chain, and expanding its reach to people with Type 2 diabetes. Benjamin was named chief product and customer experience officer in 2023, according to his LinkedIn page. In that role, he led global product strategy, customer experience, and helped direct Insulet’s innovation roadmap.
“Eric has been a driving force in Insulet’s success,” McEvoy said in a statement.
As COO, Benjamin will oversee strategy, research and development, the office of the chief technology officer and Insulet’s newly created growth organization.
Raghunandanan has been tasked with leading the growth organization. In the new role, he will be responsible for efforts around strategy, brand and customer experience to accelerate Insulet’s global growth. Raghunandanan has more than 20 years of consumer health leadership experience, largely at Johnson & Johnson and its consumer health spinoff, Kenvue.
The appointments come after McEvoy outlined four priorities for Insulet on an August earnings call:
enhancing the company’s commercial capabilities, building Insulet’s brand and direct-to-consumer capabilities, driving growth outside of the U.S. and accelerating the pace of innovation.
